Like a puppet on a string
While not being a religious person in any way, there are nonetheless times when I get the distinct sensation that someone or something is steering me like a puppet.
Take today: there I was, sitting at my desk, looking at my finances, thinking I really need to earn more money, when what I should spy on the front page of one of the professional journals we get in the office, but online tutoring opportunities for which I am qualified. THEN I get an email from the OU about a tutor vacancy in my subject area that’s just come up. If both of those come off, I’ll be earning an extra £3.5k a year.
Weird, huh?
