You Can Keep Them for the Birds and Bees...

You may have noticed that since we dragged ourselves out of financial crisis 18 months or so ago, I haven't like to talk about money here. However today I am making an exception, for reasons which should quickly become apparent...

As you know, I hate Natwest. As illustrated here: http://newlyweddramaqueenmk2.blogspot.com/2005/08/open-letter-to-natwest.html

Which is why it was so wonderful to receive £1841 from them today in settlement of our court claim for bank charges applied by them over the past six years. Well, actually, we haven't been charged anything in the last two years, but for the four years before that.

If you have ever been charged for going overlimit on your credit card or overdraft, or bouncing a DD, or whatever, then it's actually unlawful and you can claim it back. I could explain how to do it all, but these guys do it better, so go and ask them instead: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/

Now you can't say this blog doesn't give you anything helpful...

Oh, and just so you know, we're using the money to go to Singapore to visit LotusMomma. We'll even send Natwest a postcard - can't say fairer than that!
